Dr Aung Ko ko

MBBS, FRACGP, Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor (SCCA), Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy (SCCA), Advanced Certificate Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery (SCCA)

Dr Aung Ko Ko is a specialist general practitioner and has a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Aung Ko Ko is also an accredited skin cancer doctor at the Skin Cancer College in Australasia. This means that he has successfully completed a high level of training with the College and has proven skills in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of skin cancer. His name can be found on Locate-a-Doctor on the Skin Cancer College of Australasia website.

He is passionate about skin cancer and has up-to-date knowledge about all the surgical and non-surgical treatments of skin cancer. He pays detailed attention to all the skin checks as well as his surgical procedures including skin flaps and skin grafts to get the best outcome. Dr Aung Ko Ko is only taking new patients for skin checks, and he does skin checks and procedures on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and sees his long-term GP patients on Wednesday.

Dr Zin Win Naing

MBBS, FRACGP, Certificate of Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Medicine (SCCA)

Dr Zin is a specialist GP fellow and has attained fellowship from RACGP (Royal Australian College of General practitioner) after training with James Cook University. Prior to it, Dr Zin had years of hospital experience, well-trained in wide bay and central Queensland’s hospitals as well as overseas experience in Myanmar and Jamaica.

Dr Zin has special interest in skin cancer and is sub-specializing in skin cancer medicine with SCCA (skin cancer college Australia) as well. Dr Zin does skin cancer checks and skin cancer surgeries including flaps and grafts mostly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but can accommodate as per patients’ needs. As a specialist GP/family physician, Dr Zin is also very enthusiastic in general practice areas such as chronic diseases management, chronic pain, preventive medicine, paediatric, mental health and so forth.

Dr Zin is a compassionate, caring doctor and puts his heart and soul into treating patients to deliver best possible care. In his spare time, he enjoys training in the gym, playing sports activities, and watching Netflix. Dr Zin enjoys spending time with family and has a toddler daughter who always keeps him on his toes.

Dr Kyu Mar Htun

Meet Dr Kyu, who has been a valued member of the Family First team since the beginning of 2023 and proudly offers completely bulk billed consultations. Dr Kyu has recently returned from maternity leave following the birth of her second child and is excited to once again provide care to her patients and the local community. With a strong passion for child health, chronic disease management, and emergency medicine, Dr Kyu is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families within our community.

Originally from Myanmar, Dr Kyu brings a wealth of international medical experience, having previously practiced in Jamaica before relocating to Australia four years ago. Since then, she has gained extensive clinical experience working across multiple departments within Rockhampton, Gladstone, and Hervey Bay Hospitals, further strengthening her broad medical knowledge and skills.

Known for her caring and compassionate approach, Dr Kyu is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and supporting them through every stage of their healthcare journey.

Dr Linn Aung

Meet Dr Linn Aung, who joined our team at the beginning of 2025 and is proudly offering completely bulk billed consultations. With over 15 years of experience across Emergency and General Medicine departments, Dr Linn brings extensive knowledge, skill, and compassionate care to our practice.

Dr Linn is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and has a strong interest in dermatological procedures, including skin excisions, biopsies, and minor surgical procedures. He currently provides dedicated Skin Cancer Consultations on Mondays and Wednesdays and continues to further expand his expertise in skin cancer medicine to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Having worked extensively in both Jamaica and Australia, Dr Linn has developed broad experience managing a wide range of complex medical conditions, with a particular focus on elderly patient care. His warm, patient-centred approach and commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare align perfectly with the values of our practice.

Dr Moe Pan Thu

Meet Dr Moe Pan Thu, who joined our team in February 2025 as a Specialist General Practitioner. Dr Moe completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) following her training through James Cook University. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Moe’s special interests include women’s health, children’s health, emergency medicine, chronic disease management, and skin cancer medicine. Her warm and compassionate approach allows her to build strong relationships with patients while supporting them through all stages of their healthcare journey.

With extensive experience in both general practice and emergency medicine across Myanmar and Jamaica, as well as clinical experience working at Mount Isa and Hervey Bay Hospitals, Dr Moe brings a diverse and valuable skillset to our team. Dr Phone (Nathan) Kywe

Dr. Nathan (Phone) Kywe graduated from the University of Medicine in Myanmar (Burma) in 2012 and brings over a decade of experience as a General Practitioner. He has worked extensively in emergency medicine at Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, and Maryborough Hospitals, gaining broad clinical expertise across a range of specialties. Dr. Kywe has a strong background in managing chronic diseases and a particular passion for dermatology, skin cancers, preventive medicine and mental health.

With a solid foundation in both acute and specialist care, Dr. Kywe is now transitioning into General Practice, where he combines his vast medical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Dedicated to providing holistic care, he strives to support the overall well-being of every patient he sees.

NP Jennifer Ford

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Specialist

NP Jennifer Ford obtained her Master’s in Nurse Practitioner Studies from the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2013, with a specialist qualification in Psychiatry. She is a member of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ANCP) and has an affiliation with the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB). Her other qualifications include a Master’s in Mental Health (USQ), postgraduate certificate in Health Services Management (QUT), Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables (AACDS) and recognition on the National Panel of Assessors (NPA) by the Department of Social Services (DSS).
